STATEMENT

Community Mama.jpg

Endless distractions in our modern lives pull us away from the natural world we belong to. However, one can become aware of their ego and find where their true roots belong by taking a step into the forest and absorbing all lifeforms around them. From the vast networks of communication in the woods to the quirky dramas that unravel in the animal kingdom. Even the ones that sneak past our limits of perception. I've always been fascinated with nature. I aim to uplift others by sharing nature's amusing elements, demonstrating the forest's consciousness with illuminating sagas of the “Wood-Wide-Web,” and sharing the beauty I see in the world through my interpretations. I hope to give people a deeper appreciation for the forest and how amazing it is to exist on this priceless planet.

I’ve always been inspired by the natural world and motivated by the need to create. I spent my youth experimenting and honing my skills. Senior year, I asked my art teacher if we had any paint in the classroom, and from there, I became addicted to painting. I have never lost my fascination with nature, only gained a desire to share my interpretation of it with others.

It is impossible to capture the grace of nature entirely. However, surrendering to the creative process and allowing myself to get lost in the worlds that inhabit my mind is my best attempt at accomplishing my goal. Each painting suggests a natural unraveling, similar to how fungal networks transmit messages from one tree to the next or how a tiny patch of land can be full of life acting as a superorganism. My work's central message and purpose are to spread people's awareness of the complexity and importance of the natural world in our lives. Furthermore, to enjoy life, laugh, and smile because it is a great thing to exist! I want to take what makes me blissful and share that with everyone who views my work. I hope for viewers of my work to think deeper and emerge themselves in a forest bathing experience for their eyes and souls. Equivalent to an ad campaign for a manufactured product, I am spreading my own brand awareness campaign for Mother Earth through my art and soul!
